You are invited to visit the Astor Exhibition Bar to see the work of Susan Carlyle, Martin Cherry and Dominic Harper.

You can meet the artists for a private viewing of their work from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday 4th March. Join them with a complimentary glass of wine.

Susan’s collage paintings based on gardens are a personal response to the creative space that has been the main influence for her work. Gardens are places of sanctuary for relaxation and peace. Now outside events put our spaces under threat, our plants show signs of decay and loss, yet growth in nature continues its cycle.

Martin’s photography is capturing landscapes and structures around our coastline. He prefers monochrome or desaturated images, with atmospheric skies, and photographs most of his work from October to March when the landscape is more exposed. He often walks for a day photographing places he has visited before and choosing the days when skies are dramatic or grey.

Dominic’s work is related to and inspired by research into and the practices of psychogeography. One focus is the environment of Deal and the recent developments at the Original Factory Shop and pop up gallery there.
We hope to see you at the private viewing while supporting your local theatre as well.
The exhibition runs until the 28th March
