FOR ONE DAY ONLY South East Artists (SEAS) will be presenting their first POP-UP POSTCARD ART. Thirteen artists will be exhibiting Postcard Artwork mounted in frames and all artwork is available for £20. It’s a great opportunity to get some local artist artwork without breaking the bank and ideal as gifts or Christmas stocking fillers. The work ranges from fine artwork to photography, textiles to printmaking and mixed-media. Artists include: Kate Baker, Patricia Barry, Chris Birbeck, Tom Burnham, Susan Carlyle, Martin Cherry, Alan Davis, Liza Harding, Dominic Harper, Peter Hayes-Watkins, Diana Mishkin, Mike Tedder, Mollie Winters and Nicki Vowls. The event takes place on Saturday 18th November at St George’s Hall, High Street Deal. Entry is free and is open between 10am and 5pm. The SEAS group will be exhibiting at the Horsebridge this April. In a show that brings together and celebrates the diversity of their work and practice, where each artist will showcase work that represents their individual approaches to art. The exhibition opens on April 10th, with a ‘Meet the Artists’ preview afternoon on Saturday 14th April from 2pm until 5pm, when many of the SEAS group will be present.
The exhibition will close on Monday 23rd April. There is free admission to both the Somerset Maugham Gallery & Gallery 2 space, which are open 10-6 daily.

Open Studios takes place over two consecutive weekends on November 27/28th and December 4/5th. Artists and craftmakers from, Deal, Walmer, Eastry, Hacklinge, and Dover welcome visitors into their studios to meet them, view their work and chat about art. Most items will be for sale and commissions can be negotiated.
Artists opening their studios for this pre-Christmas event include: Jim Robertshaw, Elisabeth Sefton, Peter Hayes-Watkins, The Burning Bush Gallery, Marilyn Williams, David White, Amanda Thompson, Sue Manton, Clare Wakefield, Susan Sullivan, Adrian Sullivan and Mike Tedder.
The artists who organise Open Studios all operate in an unpaid and voluntary capacity. The guide brochure to accompany the event, listing the artists taking part, with directions and artist contact details, will be available from many local outlets and can be downloaded from our website.
