Constance Johnson is a printmaker who has studied in the USA, Japan, and the UK. She uses balance and movement through space to create depth so a small format appears to encompass an entire world.
She experiments with the juxtapositions of contrasting bold colours and patterns. Prints are by nature 2D but Conni tries to create 3D qualities by using multiple nesting or overlapping lino and collagraph plates and shadows. Pushing her 3D experiments further, her newest work is folded in bas relief. She shows her work in Cambridge and London as well as Deal.
