Kingsdown’s history and its boatmen

On Sunday the 20th October, at Kingsdown Village Hall, there is going to be a talk by Marc Arnold, the grandson of Jarvist Arnold, the Victorian Kingsdown lifeboat cox, relating to Kingsdown’s history and its boatmen.

Natasha Greenham is performing some music adapted from a poem about Jarvist Arnold, and SEAS artist Nicki Vowls will be exhibiting lifeboat linocuts that tell the stories of rescues from the Goodwin Sands.

The event will be starting at 3pm and admission is free.
