Caroline Raffan – Glass artist
Caroline Raffan offers taster sessions in glass fusing and/or glass painting and enamelling from her garden studio at home (Claremont Road off London Road Deal). These sessions are either on a one-to-one basis, or in groups of 2 people. You can either come for a whole day, or 2 mornings or afternoons (this allows the work to be fired between your sessions). Rosemary Stow – Rag rug workshops
I will be teaching three traditional rug making techniques – hooking, prodding and clipping – using a variety of materials and yarn. Frames, hessian and tools are provided with the option of buying at the end of the session. You may find it useful to bring your own scissors plus any old tee shirts, felted woollens, ribbons etc. that you would like to experiment with.
The cost of the workshop is £25 which includes a light lunch and tea/coffee. Places are limited to three per session.
I will be running the workshops in my studio at 25 The Strand, Walmer, Deal, CT14 7DX.
